I wouldn't worry about your diet and eating right, if you're too fat you'll be a diet recruit, if you're too skinny you'll be a "double rat. You will burn a lot of it up though, I was a "normal" recruit not a diet or double rat. It's not that bad you don't really have any choices but every morning it is eggs and a few other things. You have cereal you can choose from too. The Lunch and dinner meals will vary, we had a lot of tomato based dishes its nothing fancy but when your hungry it's all good.
It really isn't that you dont get enough chow its more that you may not have enough time to finish it you learn to eat quick though and its not really that bad.
